Cookie & Storage Policy
This page explains the browser storage used by GeoQuest Maps, including account sessions, Google Analytics and advertising technologies.
Game progress storage
The game uses browser local storage under the key geoquestmaps-state to remember progress such as XP, mastery, achievements, scores and daily results. Local storage is not a traditional cookie, but it is a form of browser storage. It remains on your device until you reset progress or clear site data.
Account session storage
If you sign in, Supabase Auth may store session information in your browser so you remain signed in and can sync progress securely.
Google Analytics
GeoQuest Maps uses Google Analytics 4. Google Analytics may use cookies or similar technologies, including identifiers such as _ga, to distinguish visitors and measure site usage where permitted.
Advertising cookies
If Google AdSense is enabled, Google and other advertising technology providers may place or read cookies and use similar technologies for ad delivery, fraud prevention, frequency capping, measurement and, where you have consented, personalisation.
Your choices
You can clear local game progress from the Profile screen or through your browser settings. For visitors in regions where consent is required, advertising choices will be managed through a Google-certified consent management platform when ads are enabled. Browser controls may also let you block or delete cookies, although doing so can affect some website features.
